Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026.
This policy explains which personal data we collect through the codemaker.pt website, what we use it for and what rights you have over it. It covers this website only. The processing of data inside the Codemaker platform, carried out on behalf of the customers that use it, is governed by the contract with each customer.
1. Who is responsible
The controller is Codemaker, tax number (NIF) 514944692, registered office at Av. Visconde Barreiros, 358, 4.º Dir. Trás, 4470-151 Maia, Portugal. For any question about your personal data you can write to info@codemaker.pt or to the address above.
2. What data we collect
- Contact form: name, email, phone and company (the last two optional), the subject and the message you send us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and the pages requested, logged by the server for security reasons and to prevent abuse.
We do not ask for, and do not wish to receive through the website, special categories of data (for example, health data).
3. What we use it for, and on what basis
- To answer your request for information or a demo — based on your consent and on the pre-contractual steps you ask us to take (Article 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
- To keep the website secure and prevent automated submissions and abuse — based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising and we make no automated decisions based on it.
4. How long we keep it
Messages from the form are sent by email to our team and are not stored on the website. We keep that correspondence for as long as it takes to handle your request and for no more than 24 months after the last contact, unless it leads to a contractual relationship, in which case the legal retention periods apply. The server's technical logs are kept for a short period, up to 30 days.
5. Who we share it with
Your data is processed by Codemaker and by providers that support us with website hosting and email delivery, always under contracts that oblige them to protect it. If the website uses Google reCAPTCHA to stop automated submissions, Google receives technical data from your browser under Google's privacy policy. We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area without the safeguards required by the GDPR.
6. Cookies
The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It may only use cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, which do not require consent. Should we ever start using analytics tools, this policy will be updated and your consent requested where the law requires it.
7. Your rights
You may ask us at any time for access to your data, its correction or erasure, the restriction of or objection to its processing and its portability, and you may withdraw the consent you gave, without affecting the processing carried out before. Just write to info@codemaker.pt. We reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
8. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website or to the law. The date at the top always shows the version in force.
